My name is Filisa Alma, a 23-year-old photographer, born and raised in the beautiful province of Friesland. During my teenage years, my passion for creativity awakened, first through drawing and painting, later through capturing moments with my phone. What started as taking portraits of my sister quickly  grew into a deep fascination for creating through photography.

 

After 4.5 years of studying at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam, where I graduated in December 2022, I have developed my way of creating and focus. During the challenging period of the coronavirus pandemic, I began taking portraits of well-known Dutch personalities, where i soon discovered that my true passion lay in capturing fashionable portraits with a classic atmosphere, where I could truly connect with my subjects.

 

I believe in capturing spontaneous, fleeting, and unconscious moments because these moments reflect the essence of life my subjects live in. From backstage at the Televizier Ring Gala to fashion shows and intimate portrait sessions with artists and models like Hannah Schönberg, each moment tells a unique story that I strive to capture with my camera.

 

My adventurous spirit has taken me to various cities in Europe, including Copenhagen, Brussels, Düsseldorf, and London, where I was inspired by different architecture and people.

 

For me, photography is about creating something unique, capturing the beauty and unconsciousness of life in a image. I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to express my creativity and look forward to continuing my journey as a photographer.
